	Background Previous hearings: + November 2016 + November 2017This note was prepared in view of a regular public hearing with the Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank (ECB) who inter alia presented the SSM Annual Report 2017. The following issues were addressed in the briefing: + the self-liquidation of directly supervised ABLV + the ECB Addendum on NPLs (Non-Performing Loans) + the latest release of the ECB’s Supervisory Banking Statistics + and external briefing papers provided for the ECON Committee which analyse the 2017 Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) results.
