This Statistics in Focus publication shows the latest data on R&D intensity in all economic sectors in the EU, US and other important economic areas in the world. For the EU-27 the respective R&D intensity lies at 1,84% in 2005, the same as in 2004. Furthermore the publication shows the proportion of researchers in total employment which is calculated with 0,9% for the EU-25 in 2004. The R&D personnel and the researchers are then also distributed to the respective sectors of performance. |
