The heaviest commercial communications satellite to go to into orbit has been successfully launched from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, 11 August 2005. The Thaicom 4 (Ipstar) craft, operated by Thailand's Shin Satellite, will provide net access across Asia-Pacific. |
