The Human Resources in Science and Technology (HRST) are concentrated in the European capital regions and in other European regions with stronger economic performance. Highest concentration of HRST measured as a share of total labour force is found in the regions Bruxelles-Capitale (64%) and Île de France (62%). Six of the top 15 EU regions with highest shares of HRST belong to Germany. On the other hand, Germany has Europe's lowest share of young, 25-34 years old, HRST. |
