Building cooperative security systems at the regional level is new practice in international politics. Five cases of regional security partnership in Europe, East Asia, Central Asia, East Africa and the EU Neighbourhood are separately analyzed. Similarity and difference in the five cases are assessed in the concluding section, in which a comparative scheme is presented.
