Regulators raid phone HQs

The European Commission inspected the headquarters of nine mobile telephone operators in the UK and Germany on 11 July 2001. Commission inspectors from the Competition Directorate and officials from national competition authorities investigated alleged price-fixing between the operators concerning calls made outside consumers' home markets.
