Relations between Belize and the European Union

Belize is part of a number of African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) – European Union (EU) partnership agreements. This accord brought about a new era of economic cooperation between the EU and Belize. It promotes sustainable development and poverty reduction, and forms the basis of EU-Belize cooperation.
In Trade Matters, relations between Belize and the EU has, over the years continually increased. For instance, from 2014, the European Commission accepted fisheries production from Belize.

The European Development Fund (EDF) is the main source of development aid for Belize. It dealt with the consequences of the Hurricane Iris in 2001 and to prevent consequences of Natural Disaster in the country.
