On 28 March 2017, the President of the European Council Donald Tusk met the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili to talk about EU-Georgia relations and welcomed the entry into force of the visa free travel regime. They also discussed the Association Agreement between the European Union and Georgia. Donald Tusk reaffirmed the Prime Minister the EU's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and the strong commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Georgia.
