Report from the Commission – Annual report 2011 on relations between the European Commission and national parliaments

This seventh annual report on relations between the Commission and national Parliaments focuses on the political dialogue with national Parliaments in a broad sense. It encompasses all relevant interactions and exchanges of information and opinion between the Commission and national Parliaments.

Specific aspects relating to the subsidiarity control mechanism (through which national Parliaments scrutinise whether draft legislative acts comply with the principle of subsidiarity) are dealt with in the Annual Report on Subsidiarity and Proportionality, which is published in parallel and should thus be seen as complementary to this report.
