Report of the implementation of the Euro-Mediterranean Charter for Enterprise. 2008 enterprise policy assessment

The adoption in 2004 by European-Mediterranean Ministers for Industry of the Euro-Mediterranean Charter for Enterprise resulted in important steps to improve the business environment. The 2008 enterprise policy assessment, undertaken between January and April 2008, presents a comprehensive picture of policies that promote entrepreneurship and enterprise development in the Mediterranean partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia. The resulting report includes recommendations to bring forward more strategic developments in entrepreneurship education in all countries.

The report was produced under the joint authorship of the European Commission, the European Training Foundation and the OECD in consultation with the European Investment Bank.
