Report on financial crisis management

The report is the follow-up to the Economic and Financial Committee report on financial stability, which was prepared in 2000 by a similar working group chaired by Mr Brouwer, and subsequently discussed at the Lisbon Informal ECOFIN, and published by in this series as Economic Paper 143. It outlines the various issues involved in financial crisis management in the EU, highlighting both the role of the private sector and the policy options which the authorities may choose to address a specific situation.
