The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) published on 15 April 2015 a report which analyses the rising number of airliner incidents involving Russian military aircraft, most of which take place in the Baltic.

The report was a response to a letter sent by the European Commission to EASA following the incidents which became more visible in November 2014.
