Report presented on 30 November 2018 by the European Commission on the adoption of delegated acts under Regulation (EC) No 2173/2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community.

In 2005, as part of the implementation of its 2003 Action Plan on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT), the EU adopted Regulation (EC) No 2173/2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community (the FLEGT Regulation).

Pursuant to Article 11(a)(2) of the FLEGT Regulation as amended by Regulation (EU) 657/2014, the power to adopt delegated acts is conferred on the Commission for a period of five years from 30 June 2014 and the Commission is required to make a report in respect of the delegation of power not later than nine months before the end of the five-year period.
