This study aimed to provide Members of the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education with information, analysis and recommendations on digital skills in the 21st century and an adequate EU policy response to contemporary challenges as set out in the Digital Education Action Plan and accompanying Staff Working Document.
Based on literature review and policy mapping, the study identified potential blind spots in the field of digital skills and competences that are not addressed by the Action Plan and other existing initiatives at EU level.
