Following the outcome of the referendum held in the United Kingdom on its EU membership, media sources reported on the reshuffle taking place regarding the presidencies of the Council of the European Union.

The United Kingdom was initially scheduled to take on the presidency for six months in 2017, but reports suggested another member state was going to take over the position left vacant due to the referendum result.
