Restructuring has made industrial relations more important in the EU – new Commission report

Large-scale changes caused by globalisation are making industrial relations more, rather than less important in Europe, according to a new European Commission report. 'Industrial Relations in Europe 2004' highlights a growing trend towards company level negotiations, with workers' principal concern being job security, rather than short term financial gain.
