Romania PM’s alliance set for poll landslide

The centre-left alliance of Romania’s prime minister Victor Ponta was poised for a landslide victory in parliamentary elections on the 9 December 2012, setting up an awkward period of cohabitation with the centre-right president, Traian Basescu.
