Russia is planning to ratify the Kyoto treaty on global warming soon, Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov confirmed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development on 3 September 2002. Russia's backing would mean that enough big producers of greenhouse gases have signed up to bring the treaty into effect. |
