Schroder refuses to play part in US ‘adventures’

There is growing alarm in Germany at some of the military options being considered in Washington, following the terrorist attacks in the US. Germans, in line with other Europeans, want the West to develop long-term strategies for the problems of the Middle East. They fear that the US will merely resort to air strikes.
