Science, Technology and Competitiveness key figures report 2008/2009. A more research-intensive and integrated European Research Area

The Science, Technology and Competitiveness report examines the progress made in EU's research investments and efficiency since the launch of the Lisbon agenda in March 2000. It provides answers to a number of questions, such as:

+ Is Europe investing more in research?
+ Is Europe becoming a more attractive place to invest in research?
+ Is Europe progressing towards a more integrated European
Research Area and making its research system more competitive?
+ Is Europe moving rapidly enough towards a more adaptable and knowledge-intensive economy able to face the globalisation challenge?
