The Committee debated the the justice and home affairs aspects of the financial perspectives for the period 2007 to 2013 and considered the following European Commission proposals in particular: the proposed decision establishing the programme on prevention, preparedness and consequence management of terrorism; the proposed decision establishing the fundamental rights and citizenship programme; and the proposed decision establishing the criminal justice programme. Finally, the Committee considered the proposal for the improvement of police co-operation between the member states of the European Union, particularly at internal borders. |
