September infringements’ package: key decisions

On the 29 September 2016, a package of infringement decisions was released. The key decisions taken by the European Commission cover various sectors and include:9 letters of formal notice, 54 reasoned opinions, and 5 referrals to the Court of Justice of the European Union. The Commission also closed 122 cases in which the issues with the Member States concerned had been solved without the need to pursue the procedure further.
