Simitis ‘social charter’ heralds start of Greek poll campaign

The Greek Prime Minister, Costas Simitis, launched his Party's re-election campaign on 10 September 2003, by announcing a 'social charter' aimed at bringing Greek living standards up to the European Union average within 5 years.
