Commentary feature in which the authors, who are co-chairs of the Initiative for a Renewed Transatlantic Partnership at the Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington DC, suggest six outstanding areas on which transatlantic coordination should focus in the near future. The areas are: Iran's nuclear programme; Ukraine's future; the fight against international terrorism; weapons of mass destruction in Russia and other states of the former Soviet Union; cooperation on trade liberalisation; cooperation on defence and security, especially development of European capacities.
