This publication presents the complex methodological framework used by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) to forecast skills supply and demand in the EU labour market and some current attempts to improve it. The project involved developing consistent databases and related tools to produce a comprehensive and consistent set of skill projections for all EU Member States, plus Norway and Switzerland. The main aim was to provide an overview of the methodology rather than to present the results.
