Speech of President Donald Tusk at the State funeral of former German President Roman Herzog

On 24 January 2017 the President of the European Council Donald Tusk hold a speech at the State funeral of former German President Roman Herzog.

Upon his speech he stressed out the importance to remember President Herzog not only as the initiator of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism on the twenty-seventh of January, but also for his efforts to reinforce European integration by motivating all people with an imaginary idea of freedom.
