Speech of Vice-President Šefčovič at FEPS event “The new social contract: A fair transition” – Launch of the report and discussion

On the 29 September 2016, a speech was made by the European Commission Vice-President, Maroš Šefčovič, at the Foundation for European Progressive Studies event, “The new social contract: A fair transition”. Mr Šefčovič, who is responsible for the Energy Union agenda, spoke about the importance of the transition to a low-carbon economy and about technologies and innovations, which are important tools to reach the climate goals.
