Stabilising Mali – why Europe must look beyond technicalities

In this commentary feature the author argued that to foster long-term stability in Mali, the international community must not content itself with the implementation of technicalities, but also of maintaining a nuanced understanding of local and national dynamics, and of applying pressure to all sides if necessary, including partners like the Malian government.
