Statement by Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides on the cholera outbreak in Yemen

On 24 May 2017 European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides made a statement about a cholera outbreak in Yemen.

As Yemen was facing a fast spreading Cholera outbreak of unprecedented scale the EU would increase its response with further funding to help those in need.

The outbreak was the second outbreak in less than a year to hit the war-ravaged country already facing one of the largest humanitarian crises.
