Statement by Federica Mogherini on the latest decisions by the Israeli government regarding the settlements

On the 31 March 2017 the Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini claimed that the decisions by the Israeli government to establish a settlement inside the West Bank, undermine the prospects for a viable two state solution. She stated that the European Union sees all settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory are illegal under international law, and the EU reaffirms its support for a just sustainable and comprehensive resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
