Statement by the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini ahead of the 21st Century Panglong Union Peace Conference in Myanmar

On the 30 August 2016, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, made a statement on the occasion of the 21st Century Panglong Union Peace Conference in Myanmar. The opening of this Conference is an important milestone, which should open a new path towards sustainable peace, equitable development and the wider consolidation of the democratic reform process.
