Summary: The Eurogroup discussed on 21 June 2018 and later released a statement on the final review of Greece's economic adjustment programme under the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). Further information: The Eurogroup commended the Greek authorities for the completion of the agreed prior actions of the final review of the ESM programme. As part of the agreed conclusion of the programme following the final review, the Greek authorities made commitments, as set out in an annex to Eurogroup statement, to continue the implement of a set of reforms adopted under the programme and sustain their objectives, as well as complete certain structural reforms initiated under the ESM programme against agreed deadlines. The intention of the European Commission to activate the Enhanced Surveillance procedure and the support shown by Greek authorities to this intention was also welcome by the Eurogroup. |
