Statement: Outcome of the Trilateral Talks on the Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement/Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area

A new round of the trilateral talks between the European Union, Russia and Ukraine took place on 1 December 2015, regarding the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement (Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area - DCFTA).

The talks had been undertaken in the framework of the Joint Ministerial Statement on 12 September 2014 and take into accouunt the Declaration of 12 February 2015 in support of the 'Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements'.

No compromise was reached between the three sides, adding pressure to further negotiations before the agreement between Ukraine and the European Union becomes effective, provisionally set for 1 January 2016.
