Straight into the top 10, June 1998

The statistics gathered just one month into the service's existence show the extent of interest in this information. EUR-Lex is already in the top 10 of the most visited sites on the Europa server with more than 100,000 hits and over 2,500 different users per day. In the month since its official launch it has been visited by in excess of 20,000 different users, more than 90% of whom are external users from outside the EU Institutions. Already 4,500 PDF files have been downloaded. It will be interesting to monitor whether this is an initial burst of enthusiasm or a long-term and growing market.
