Strategic priorities for the UK: The policy review

In October 2006, the UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, announced a major policy review. The Strategy Unit prepared this paper as background for Cabinet discussion of the policy review programme on 19 October 2006. It does not reflect Government policy. The contents include progress since 1997; trends and challenges in the next decade; issues and choices for the UK and initial work commissioned.
