Strategy for national infrastructure

This Strategy document, published on 24 March 2010, provides an overview of the UK's infrastructure, identifies overarching challenges and opportunities, and sets out proposals for Infrastructure UK to develop effective long-term plans and priorities, enable long-term investment, and improve delivery of infrastructure in the UK. It covers the key sectors of economic infrastructure: energy, transport, water, waste and communications.

Infrastructure UK is a unit within HM Treasury and was established following the 2009 Pre-Budget Report to advise the Government on the long-term infrastructure needs of the United Kingdom.
