Structures of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe. 2007 edition

This publication highlights the wide variety of education and vocational training systems. The situation in each of the 30 countries covered is described in 35-45 pages. The general structure of each national description is similar so that the information concerned is readily comparable:

1. Responsibilities and administration;
2. Pre-primary education;
3. Compulsory education;
4. General and vocational post-compulsory secondary education;
5. Alternate education and initial vocational training;
6. Tertiary education;
7. Continuing education and training for adults.

This publication is the outcome of close collaboration between Eurydice National Units, members of the CEDEFOP documentary network and the European Training Foundation (ETF) national observatories.
