Supra-national border guard system on EU radar

EUObserver reported on a European Commission: DG Home Affairs study 'on the feasibility of the creation of a European System of Border Guards to control the external borders of the Union - ESBG'. Officials suggested the proposals were a long term objective, not to be fully implemented for twenty plus years.
