Date: 23/05/02 LUXEMBOURG and Finland's small-business managers are the EU's best linguists, according to a survey by accounting firm Grant Thornton. The study found 85 of Luxembourg-based small firms had managers capable of negotiating in more than one language, just ahead of Finnish firms (84). Just 28 of Irish firms' managers and 29 of British executives could close a deal in a foreign language. |
