Article reports that Sweden’s political and legal establishment rallied in February 2011 to defend the country’s prosecution service over its pursuit of Julian Assange, founder of the WikiLeaks whistleblower website, for alleged sex crimes.

Fredrik Reinfeldt, Prime Minister, rejected claims that Sweden’s attempt to extradite Mr Assange from the UK was politically motivated and hit back against attacks on the Swedish justice system made during an extradition hearing in London.
