UBS and Credit Suisse dominated debate in Switzerland’s parliament in June 2011, as lawmakers turn to regulation of the country’s two biggest banks by assets.

On the 14 June 2011, the upper house discussed plans to prevent the pair becoming 'too big to fail'. The debate followed recommendations by a parliamentary committee to back legislation, modelled on proposals from 2010 from an expert commission.
