Tax-benefit systems and incentives for work and job creation

This study gives an overview of recent developments in the level and structure of labour taxation and social expenditure, focusing on the implications for work incentives. Tax and benefit reforms have been on the political agenda in the EU for quite a time. This study analyses the most recent statistics in order to assess the extent to which Member States' efforts in this area have led to noticeable results.
