The deficit of trust in the Eastern neighbourhood: A challenge for the Riga summit

The author argues that support for the idea of European integration in the Eastern Partnership countries has faltered, with the partial exception of Ukraine. The EU must find a way to address the problem of mistrust between citizens and the declaratively pro-European authorities.
