The Dutch Cocoa Association has dropped its objections to proposals

to allow the sale of chocolate containing vegetable fats other than cocoa butter throughout the EU, boosting hopes of resolving the long-running dispute. The proposal has been held up by opposition from the three Benelux countries, Spain and France, but a softening of The Hague's stance would be sufficient to break the deadlock.
