The elephant in the room: Brexit and the EU’s Global Strategy / Mogherini’s global strategy moves beyond zero-sum game

With the UK’s referendum on EU membership dominating the headlines, other developments at the European level received less attention in the spring of 2016 than might otherwise have been the case under normal circumstances. Pol Morillas writes on one such issue: the formulation of the EU’s Global Strategy, which was due to be submitted to the European Council at the end of June 2016.

He wrote that regardless of whether the UK voted to stay in or leave the EU, the referendum was likely to overshadow efforts to agree on and implement the Global Strategy in the coming months.
