Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič started on 19 May 2015 a roadtrip across the European Union to sell the European Commission's plans for an Energy Union. The first stop was in the Netherlands.

During his visits, Mr Sefcovic was set to share initial findings of an analysis of each country's energy and climate policy. It was his understanding that such a project could not be imposed by the EU authorities.
