The European Central Bank has cancelled a meeting it was due to hold in Ireland because of the foot-and-mouth disease crisis.

The governing council of the ECB was due to meet in Dublin next Thursday (15 March), but has moved the session after consultation with Irish authorities. The meeting will be held in Frankfurt instead.
