...which is expected to be delivered early next year. The package was formally adopted by the Commission this week and will be discussed by EU farm ministers at their meeting on Monday (14 December). The European Parliament must also approve the package, which includes wheat, rye, beef, pork, rice and milk powder. The Commission said the food would be sold at local market prices in areas suffering from food shortages. But the Union has warned that it will suspend the aid if any of the shipment is resold on to third-country markets.
