The European Council in 2010

The publication summarises the activities of the European Council during its first year as a formal EU Institution.

In the first part, President Herman Van Rompuy resumes and analyses the main challenges and achievements of 2010: preserving the stability of the eurozone, creating a new strategy for durable growth and jobs and strengthening the position of the European Union in the world. The second part includes the official conclusions of the six European Council meetings and statements by Heads of State or Government.
