In December 2006, the EU Council granted a new mandate (ALA IV) for the EIB to lend in Latin America over the period 2007-2013. An indicative amount of EUR 2.8 billion is earmarked for EIB financing in Latin American partner countries over this period.This represents a substantial increase on the previous mandates. |
